Agronomist — Crop Advisory

You will lead XL Crop Science's technical advisory function — developing crop-stage recommendations, supporting sales teams in the field, and creating the knowledge base that farmers and dealers rely on.
What you will do
- Develop crop-stage advisory guides for cotton, soybean, chilli, onion, tomato, and other key Maharashtra crops
- Conduct field visits to support sales teams with technical selling and dealer education
- Build and maintain the XL Crop Crop Doctor database — symptoms, diagnoses, and product recommendations
- Design and deliver training programs for dealers, distributors, and field sales executives
- Create farmer-facing content (guides, videos, field notes) in Marathi and Hindi
- Monitor trial plots and compile agronomic performance data for product feedback
What we are looking for
- MSc Agriculture (Agronomy / Plant Physiology / Plant Pathology) or equivalent
- 3+ years hands-on experience in crop advisory or agri-input technical roles
- Deep familiarity with Kharif and Rabi crops of Vidarbha / Marathwada
- Ability to communicate complex agronomic information clearly to farmers and dealers
- Fluent in Marathi; working knowledge of Hindi and English
Nice to have
- Experience with biostimulants, humic acids, seaweed extracts, or specialty nutrition
- Content creation experience (writing, video scripts, slide decks)
- Familiarity with IPM and integrated nutrition programs
